The ideal candidate should have hands-on experience in load, stress, spike, soak, scalability, and failover testing, along with strong knowledge of Azure monitoring, observability, AKS, databases, caching, and CI/CD automation.

Job Details
- Develop realistic workload models for end-to-end user journeys across application and infrastructure components.
- Design and develop k6 performance tests for REST, gRPC, WebSocket, and GraphQL APIs.
- Implement correlation, parameterization, thresholds, checks, scenarios, and think-time modeling in performance tests.
- Execute load, stress, spike, soak, scalability, failover, and AKS autoscaling tests.
- Validate HPA and Cluster Autoscaler behavior under different workload conditions.
- Integrate k6 performance tests into Azure DevOps or GitHub Actions pipelines with automated quality gates.
- Analyze performance telemetry using Azure Application Insights, Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL, distributed tracing, and dashboards.
- Identify performance bottlenecks across application, container, database, cache, storage, and network layers.
- Assess performance impact across HA, DR replication, TDE, backup, and restore scenarios.
- Prepare executive and technical performance reports with findings, risks, and recommendations.
Required Skills
- 5–8 years of experience in performance, load, stress, spike, soak, scalability, and failover testing.
- 3+ years of hands-on experience testing microservices in cloud environments, preferably Microsoft Azure.
- Strong hands-on expertise in k6, including scripting, scenarios, executors, modules, thresholds, checks, and xk6 extensions.
- Experience in workload modeling, capacity planning, and percentile-based SLA analysis.
- Strong understanding of HTTPS/REST, gRPC, WebSockets, SignalR, GraphQL, OAuth2/OIDC, and Entra ID token handling.
- Expertise in Azure Application Insights, including dependency tracking, distributed tracing, live metrics, availability tests, custom telemetry, and sampling.
- Experience with Azure Monitor, Log Analytics, KQL, Workbooks, alerts, action groups, Container Insights, VM Insights, and SQL Insights.
- Working knowledge of Grafana, Prometheus, Azure Managed Prometheus, and Azure Managed Grafana.
- Hands-on understanding of AKS, pods, deployments, HPA, node pools, resource quotas, ingress, and service mesh concepts.
- Experience with Azure Container Registry, Azure Cache for Redis, Azure SQL Managed Instance, Azure Storage, and Managed Disks.
- Knowledge of Azure networking including ExpressRoute, VPN Gateway, NSGs, Private Endpoints, Front Door, App Gateway, and TLS termination.
- Understanding of Entra ID, Key Vault, TDE, certificates, Availability Zones, HA, DR replication, and autoscale capabilities.
- Strong knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, kubectl, Helm, Git, YAML, Bash, and PowerShell.
- Experience integrating performance tests into CI/CD pipelines with automated pass/fail thresholds.
- Understanding of API Gateway tools such as Traefik, service discovery, retries, circuit breakers, throttling, and microservices resiliency patterns.
- Ability to analyze Azure SQL MI performance using execution plans, wait statistics, Query Store, DMVs, and indexing strategies.
- Experience analyzing Redis cache behavior including hit/miss ratios, eviction policies, and connection pool tuning.
- Experience correlating k6 test runs with Application Insights telemetry using custom headers and test IDs.
- Strong root-cause analysis skills across CPU, memory, GC, thread pool, database, cache, and network layers.
Preferred Skills
- Ability to define performance test strategies based on architecture, non-functional requirements, and SLAs.
- Experience defining performance strategies for microservices, APIs, PAS OE, Data Server, and database layers.
- Understanding of Azure Arc for hybrid and edge-enabled cloud environments.
- Experience working with distributed Dev, QA, and SRE teams.
- Experience with cloud-native healthcare platforms is an added advantage.
